Dr. Mary Ella Wood
Dr. Wood is a board-certified physician who began her medical career in general surgery. Over time, her clinical experience revealed the limitations of a system that excels at acute care but often struggles with complexity, chronic illness, and the full context of a patient’s life. This recognition led her to make a deliberate transition into integrative medicine.
Her work now blends conventional medical training with evidence-informed, whole-person care. After residency, Dr. Wood completed a fellowship in integrative medicine, along with additional training in functional medicine and integrative nutrition. She is also a registered yoga teacher (RYT-200), informing her clinical understanding of movement, breath, and mind–body physiology.
Dr. Wood has a focused interest in psychedelic medicine as an emerging area of research and clinical inquiry, particularly at the intersection of neuroscience, consciousness, and therapeutic change.
